Durabook, the global brand of rugged mobile solutions owned by Twinhead International Corporation, today announces that it is taking rugged computing performance to new heights with its all-new S14I 14-inch semi-rugged laptop. The S14I laptop pushes the boundaries of semi-rugged design and innovation to deliver the ultimate mobile computing experiences.
The new generation of S14I will be available in April and includes the following upgrades: new 11th Gen Intel® Tiger Lake processors, latest PCIe NVMe SSD solution and Intel® Iris Xe graphics performance or NVIDIA GeForce discrete graphics option ® GTX 1050.
Unlimited performance
The S14I features a significant processor upgrade with the 11th Gen Intel® Tiger Lake platform, utilizing Intel’s 10nm processor technology. This device is equipped with integrated Intel® Iris Xe graphics and, for professionals who use graphics-intensive computing, it can upgrade to an optional dedicated NVIDIA GeForce® GTX1050.
The revolution in storage
The device is equipped with the latest NVMe PCIe SSD solution, offering up to 1TB of storage, while its PCIe offers 6 times faster speeds than SATA III. Additionally, the S14I accommodates two additional internal SATA III SSDs to maximize on-board storage.
Many choices of I/O interfaces
The enhanced S14I also offers a series of expandable and configurable I/O choices that add to its versatility. The unit is market leading with two digital and one analog video outputs; HDMI+VGA+DP Type-C; smart card reader / CAC; PCMCIA or Express Card optional; and an RFID reader.

The Durabook S14I expands the definition of semi-rugged computing to include the category-first 1.20m drop. The S14I is also top of the class when it comes to offering an ingress protection rating of 53 (IP53), making it suitable for use in locations where rain or dust may occur on a regular basis. The device also boasts an operating range of -20°C to 60°C (-4°F to 140°F), allowing it to be used in a wide range of environments.
