Mass migration drives the launch of Logic Instrument’s rugged tablet with OCR reader

With pressures on migration felt across Europe and the wider World, Logic Instrument have responded by equipping their rugged Fieldbook i1 tablet with an ultra-fast OCR reader to provide a powerful ID document reading solution.

Powered by the world’s smallest OCR reader, from Access-IS, the combined device is the perfect solution for mobile identity checks with national ID cards allowing operators at train stations, ferry terminals and border crossings to process a large volume of people quickly and efficiently to keep queues to a minimum.

The Windows based i1 Fieldbook features a full HD screen with FieldView™ Pro Technology allowing it to be used indoors or outdoors in all Glass 3 with native damage resistance™ and rated to IP65 and MIL-STD810G the I1 is easily able to cope with the rigours of frontline use.
